Mindfulness
Mindfulness trains attention. With practice, you notice sooner when you’re stressed, distracted or reacting, and you have more choice about what to do next.
“Mindfulness is awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally, in the service of self-understanding and wisdom.”
Teaching
I teach mindfulness to leaders and teams, one to one or in groups, in London or online.
The techniques I teach combine mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT). Both came out of medicine and psychology, and researchers have studied them widely.
I teach beginners and people with an existing practice. Mindfulness sessions are all trauma-attuned and follow a non-directive, invitational and adaptive approach to teaching.
In coaching
I also bring mindfulness into coaching. It helps leaders stay calm, reflect and listen well.
Training
I trained as a mindfulness teacher with the UK College of Mindfulness Meditation.
